I.Portable Radio Transceiver Attachment
  • A.DESIGN:
    A leather strap with a closed loop, via snap, at one end and an open snap for attaching the transceiver of the portable radio at the other. The loop is passed through the outer garment epaulet and secured via snap.
  • B.MATERIAL:
    • 1.Transceiver attachments will be constructed of leather.
    • 2.All hardware will be white or black metal.
  • C.COLOR:
    Black. Sergeants and above may wear white if the garment upon which it is attached is white.
  • D.CONSTRUCTION:
    • 1.Closed Loop: A closed loop is formed with a cap-stud assembly. The inside dimension of the closed loop may not be less than 1 3/4 inches nor more than 2 1/2 inches. The strap is passed beneath and around the shoulder epaulet of an outer garment. The loop is then completed (mated/snapped) securing the loop (radio attachment) to the epaulet. Snap size will be 20 or 24 ligne.
    • 2.Transceiver Attachment: Within the remaining a number stud is positioned and riveted. Stud size will be 24 ligne.
    • 3.Size:
      • a.Width: 1 to 1 ½ inches
      • b.Length: 6 ½ to 8 inches
  • E.FINISH:
    The finish of the portable radio transceiver attachment will be free of ornamentation, wrinkles, or defects, and will be smooth without basket weave or high-gloss finish.
