I.Purpose
This directive updates established Department procedures and responsibilities for procuring and issuing traffic citation books; citing traffic, parking, and compliance offenses; scheduling Traffic Court appearances; name-checking traffic violators; and attending Traffic Court.
II.Policy
The Chicago Police Department is committed to enforcing all State and Municipal traffic laws in a fair and impartial manner.
