I.Purpose
This directive contains the Mental Health Transport and Related Duties Matrix. The matrix provides Department members with a reference guide summarizing the roles and responsibilities for the parent Department directive entitled Handling Persons in Need of Mental Treatment. However, this matrix is a reference document and does not supersede anything in the parent order or the other addenda and is meant only as an aid.
II.General Information
A Hospitalization Case Report (CPD-11.406) will be completed and submitted whenever a Department members transports any person for mental treatment and no other case report is required consistent with the Incident Reporting Guide (CPD-63.451).
