| A. | The Department no longer will provide radio equipment to outside law enforcement agencies for long term use; those agencies requesting radios for long term use will be instructed they must purchase their own radios. |
| B. | Before any law enforcement agency receives authorization to access the Department’s radio frequencies for an extended period of time, the requesting agency must have received approval from the Chief of Staff, Office of the Superintendent. |
| III. | Responsibilities |
| A. | Department members receiving requests from outside law enforcement agencies for long term use of a CPD radio and/or access to radio frequencies used by the CPD will forward same to their unit commanding officer. |
| B. | Unit commanding officers will forward the request directly to the Chief of Staff, Unit 111, and provide a copy of the request to their immediate supervisor. |
| C. | The Chief of Staff will approve or reject the request and inform the requesting law enforcement agency. |
